Since 2001, the use of cannabis has been on a steady rise in Belgium. Whilst ** percent of Belgians had tried cannabis at least once in their lifetime in 2001, figures more than doubled over the years. For instance, Belgians who used at least once cannabis reached **** percent in 2018. Nonetheless, these figures do not provide insight on the frequency of cannabis use in Belgium.
