In the financial year 2025, Australia’s flag carrier airline, Qantas, recognized total revenue of billion Australian dollars. This marked an increase from the previous financial year, when the revenue of the company was around billion Australian dollars.

Passengers and competition  

  In the 2021 financial year, Qantas carried around million passengers in total across billion available seat kilometers. This represents a significant year-on-year decrease in both cases. Customer satisfaction  

  Both Qantas and Virgin Australia achieved good customer satisfaction scores from international customers in a 2019 survey; ** percent of Qantas customers said they were satisfied, and ** percent of Virgin Australia customers said they were happy. In the same survey, ** percent of Singapore Airlines customers also said they were satisfied. From domestic customers, both airlines topped survey results; ** percent of Qantas customers and ** percent of Virgin Australia customers stated their satisfaction with the airlines.
