In a survey conducted in 2019 in New Zealand, regarding the reasoning for changes in weather patterns, ** percent of male and ** percent of female respondents stated that industrial activity was the main factor which contributed towards this. However, climate change has been also credited as a reason for changing weather patterns in New Zealand, with it likely to cause increased temperatures and higher risks of flooding due to increased rainfall.
