In 2019, the most popular source for journalistic news media among Danes was national television. Through this source, around ** percent of the respondents from the Danish population, and roughly ** percent of the local politicians updated themselves on news on a weekly basis. Furthermore, national printed and online news media and radio were popular news sources among the respondents. Generally, the local politicians used the different journalistic media to a higher extent than the rest of the Danish population. This was especially the case with local news media, as ** percent of the local politicians used these in comparison with nearly ** percent of the other respondents.
