Between July 2016 and August 2019, less than half of the respondents participating in the surveys were in favor of holding a referendum to decide on the Netherlands' future within the European Union. Support for such a referendum has decreased since July 2016. In August 2019, just over ** percent of respondents stated to be in favor of a EU referendum. According to the survey, support for this referendum was strongest among the FvD (Forum for Democracy) and PVV (Freedom Party) electorate.
