A growing number of drivers in the Netherlands divert from the classic form of vehicle ownership to a tailor-made mobility solution that fulfills their individual needs: leasing. Business and private leases offer more flexibility, as drivers do not have to worry about reselling if they want to change vehicles at the end of the contract. Nevertheless, more traditional methods of car financing, such as car loans are still very popular. In 2024, the value of new consumer credit, which includes car loans, amounted to 5.41 billion euros.
