Vinci is a French company founded in 1899, originally named Société Générale d’Entreprises S.A. (SGE), by Alexandre Giros and Louis Loucher. The company adopted its current name in 2000 after a merger. It is currently one of the largest construction companies in the world. Vinci Group is active in markets all over the world. However, in 2022, it generated most of its revenues within France. In recent years, Vinci has won concessions contracts to operate an airport in the Dominican Republic and a road in Colorado. It has also won contracts for the construction or design of infrastructures and buildings in France, Senegal, Australia, Hong Kong, and other countries.
