Cuisine trends in the United States - statistics and facts
Consumers in the United States prefer their own national fare to other cuisines. In a survey among American consumers, 70 percent named American food among their favorite cuisines. Three other cuisines do however enjoy significant popularity in the United States. These are the Mexican, the Chinese, and the Italian cuisines. No other cuisine enjoys double-digit popularity. Interestingly, these three cuisines are even more popular among women, while the American kitchen is less so.
