Arts and culture industry in Hungary - facts & figures
Hungary has an abundant cultural and historical heritage, defined by rich folk customs, characteristic cuisine, and religious practices. However, many companies in the sector struggle to achieve profitability. Enterprises active in the creative, arts, and entertainment segment increased their revenues in 2022 to nearly 611 million euros. In comparison, libraries, archives, museums, and other cultural institutes generated far lower revenues, reaching only 49 million euros.
