After an initial overview on the European Union Gender Equality Index, the second chapter explores the pay and unemployment gap between men and women, followed by a focus on the female presence in political institutions and management boards. Thereafter, the report collects different surveys on inequality in the workplace as well as opinions of Italians on the gender gap. In conclusion, the last chapter offers an in-depth analysis of sexism and female stereotypes.
