This report provides an outline on intraregional migration in Latin America. After an overview of migration figures in the region as a whole, it analyzes in-depth migratory movements in selected countries which can be of greater interest, such as Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil. Next, the report focuses on migratory routes in Latin America, addressing, for example, the impact of COVID-19 on migration journeys or the irregular transit in the Darian Gap. Before concluding with a chapter on how public opinion perceives regional migration, the report takes a look at refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced persons, all increasingly common phenomena due to violence, poverty, and natural disasters in Latin America.
