This report presents facts and statistics about violence against women in France. It contains statistical data on victims and perpetrators of physical and sexual violence as well as harassment and violence in the public space. It also addresses domestic violence, as well as violence suffered during the period of lockdown in the COVID-19 pandemic, a fertile ground for its proliferation. The last chapter focuses on the penal and judicial responses necessary to effectively fight violence against women in France.
