The source adds the following information: "The ShopAlike website has analyzed the self-service transport network (cars, bicycles and scooters) of the 28 capitals of the European Union member states. The data come from the official sites of the companies in charge of transport and date from June / July 2017. If several companies offer the same service in the same city, ShopAlike has added their entire fleet of vehicles and calculated the average price for one hour of use. The offers differ depending on the city and the means of transport. In order to compare them in the most precise way, the site had to make some assumptions and exclude certain options. ShopAlike has taken into account the price of the cheapest offer based solely on the rates of a private use. Prices are for Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. If the price of a service is calculated in minutes and kilometers per hour, a 50 km route was counted as one hour of use. Booking fees, monthly fees, security deposit, parking fees and airport fees have not been recorded. Car pooling services as well as rental companies for vehicles and utilities were also not taken into consideration. The ranking was made taking into account both the total number of vehicles (cars, scooters, bicycles) and the average price per hour."
