In 2021, about one percent of male respondents aged 15 years and older claimed to hold a credit card, compared to about two percent of female respondents. The same survey also stated that 52 percent of individuals Indonesia owned an account at a bank or a regulated institution like a credit union, a microfinance institution, or a provider that offers mobile money services.
