The German contributions to the Eurosystem’s monetary aggregates should on no account be interpreted as national monetary aggregates and are therefore not comparable with the erstwhile German money stocks M1, M2 or M3. * M1 plus deposits with agreed maturities of up to two years and at agreed notice of up to three months (excluding central governments’ deposits) and (for the euro area) central governments’ monetary liabilities with such maturities.
