M0, also called narrow money, normally includes coins and notes in circulation and other money equivalents that are easily convertible into cash.
M1 is defined as total cash in circulation (outside banks) and balances in the domestic currency on current and other demand accounts of non-financial organizations.
M2 is defined as M1 Monetary Aggregate and balances in the domestic currency on time deposits of non-financial organizations, financial institutions (except for credit ones), and households.
Russia's M2, which is the "intermediate money" or the sum of M1 (currency in circulation and overnight deposits), deposits with maturity of maximum two years and deposits redeemable at notice of maximum three months, amounted to roughly * trillion Russian rubles in 2024.
