In 2024, the solar photovoltaic sector in Italy was dominated by polycrystalline solar panels, which accounted for a 54 percent share of the PV installations in the country that year. Monocrystalline solar PV panels came in second place, having accounted for a 42 percent share of Italy's solar PV panels that year.
