Values for 8 years and under have been calculated by adding up the categories for: Under 1 year, 1-2 years, 3-5 years and 6-8 years.
Values for 9-17 years have been calculated by adding up the categories for: 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-17 years.
Values prior to 2019 were taken from previous editions.

This statistic shows the number of children living in households in the United States from 2010 to 2021, by age group. In 2022, there were around **** million children eight years and under and around **** million children between the ages of nine and 17-years-old living in U.S. households.
