Recently, the car robbery rate in Brazil has been decreasing. In 2024, approximately 102.2 out of every 100,000 automobiles were stolen in the country, which represents a decrease from an average of over 114 auto thefts per 100,000 vehicles recorded one year before.
That year, São Paulo was the Brazilian state that had the highest number of car thefts and break-ins.
