Supplementary notes
* The list of 25 top-selling generics reported reflects the ranking at the Canadian national level and includes public, private, and out-of-pocket market segments. Only the leading formulations for each generic are represented. Minimum and maximum values were calculated for medicines with prices available in at least two foreign markets; mean and median values were calculated for medicines with prices available in at least three foreign markets. Five generics were excluded from the list due to lack of available data to calculate mean and median: esomeprazole, sertraline, bupropion, nifedipine, and ramipril.
