Annual electricity generation value from nuclear power Taiwan 2010-2021
In 2021, the value of electricity generation from nuclear power in Taiwan amounted to approximately 68 billion New Taiwan dollars (NT$). This figure was the smallest since 2017, when the production value of nuclear electric energy was below 55 NT$. The value of electricity production by nuclear sources decreased in Taiwan since 2014, together with the decline of nuclear electric power generation. The minimum of nuclear electricity production was reached after the 2016 decision of the Taiwanese government to phase out nuclear energy by 2025, then abolished in 2019.
