Vehicles reported in each mode for which they provide service. Data cannot be added for all modes because of the double counting that results from reporting vehicles in each mode of service for which they are used.
Information is reported for "modes of service". A mode of service is not always identical with a vehicle type of the same name. For example, fixed-route bus service may in specific circumstances be provided by larger van type vehicles and variable origin and destination paratransit service may in specific circumstances be provided by bus vehicles.
