The amount of domestic and international mail in Sweden declined between 2016 and 2020, and the coronavirus exacerbated this negative trend. In the following years, these figures increased again. However, 2023 was another year of decrease. Sweden had just over 5,800 metric tons of domestic and roughly 2,600 tons of international mail in 2023, a total of mail less than the previous year.Â
