A person has experienced cyberstalking of they have received repeated and unwanted online attention. This includes unwanted text messages, e-mails and messages via social media, or having someone post inappropriate, unwanted or personal/private information or pictures on social media. The graph demonstrates the share of women and men who were cyberstalked in Canada over the last five years, broken down by age. According to the 2014 findings, cyberstalking in Canada decreased with age, with ** percent of women aged between 15 and 24 experiencing cyberstalking compared to just *** percent of women aged 65 or above. It was also found that **** percent of men aged in the 55-64 age bracket had experienced cyberstalking, compared to less than **** percent of women within the same age group.
