Smokers in Denmark 

According to an annually conducted survey, ** percent of Danes were smokers in 2017. This includes daily smokers, weekly smokers as well as occasional smokers. In 2022, smoking was generally more common among men than women; the share of male smokers amounted to ** percent, while the share of female smokers was ** percent.  

 Sales of cigarettes and cigars 

  In the ten-year period from 2012 to 2022, the sales volume of cigars and cigarettes in Denmark fluctuated. In 2014, it was highest, reaching *** million units of cigarettes and cigar sold. By the end of this period, the sales volume amounted to ** million units in Denmark.
