Most popular were energy drinks containing sugar as the sales volume reached roughly ** million liters. By comparison, it amounted to around ** million liters of energy drinks containing sweetener.
Consumption of soft- and energy drinks per Norwegian
In 2018, the volume of soft drinks consumed per capita was **** liters. In the same year, the amount of energy drinks consumed per person in the country was *** liters. By comparison, bottled water had a consumption volume of **** liters per Norwegian.
Soft drink sales 
The soft drink sales volume in Norway generally decreased in the period from 2010 to 2019. But it peaked in 2021 at *** million liters, and remained at about the same level in the following years. In 2024, the most sold soft drinks were with sweetener, while drinks with fruit juice formed the smallest segment.
