Regional tourism thrives as well 

While Prague dominated the Czech tourism scene with over million guests in 2024, other regions also attracted significant numbers of visitors. The South Moravian and South Bohemian regions were particularly popular among domestic tourists, while the Karlovy Vary Region drew over ** international visitors. Undoubtedly, the South Bohemian region has the highest number of hotels and similar accommodations in the country, with over establishments, surpassing Greater Prague’s total of over ***. Considering that South Bohemia is much larger, Prague still has a high concentration of accommodations relative to its area.

Trends in inbound tourist behavior

Inbound tourists in 2024 showed strong engagement, with ** percent reporting visiting multiple times a year, reflecting high levels of return travel.
