A survey held between January and February 2021 in the United States found that ** percent of respondents had mostly listened to audiobooks at home so far that year. Whilst this is a large jump from the 2020 result, the increase was mostly attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay-at-home orders meant that fewer people were commuting or traveling by car in general, hence the drop in the share of adults listening to audiobooks whilst on the go.
