The statistic shows the opinion on the new law under which fascist and Nazi propaganda would become a punishable offence being against freedom of speech in Italy in 2017. The law would punish with imprisonment from six months to two years (it is increased by *** third if the act is displayed online) anyone who makes propaganda of images or content linked to the fascist party or the German National Socialist Party, even only through production, distribution, dissemination or sales of goods depicting persons, images or symbols clearly referred to them. According to the survey, the majority of respondents (over ** percent) did not agree that the new law would punish and take to trial opinions and ideas.
