This graph shows the number of African-American winners of the Pulitzer Prize as of 2016, sorted by category. Since 1917, a total of four African-Americans have won the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. The first African-American winner was Moneta Sleet Jr. of Ebony in 1969, for feature photography.
