The statistic shows the distribution of the television news work force in the United States from 2014 to 2019, sorted by ethnicity. According to the report, 12 percent of TV news employees in the U.S. were African American in 2019, down from the previous year but an increase on the years 2014 to 2017. The share of Hispanic employees is still lower than the figure recorded in 2017 and Caucasian employees still make up the vast majority of the local TV news workforce.
