The total number of performances in the Netherlands - including theatre, music, dance, cabaret, and other shows - fell dramatically in 2020, most likely due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which began that year. Notably, the number of performances in the country almost halved in 2020 over the previous year.
