This statistic shows the results of a survey about the actual and potential use of long-distance bus offers in Germany in 2014. Until January 1, 2013, long-distance bus lines were prohibited, as they were competition for railway transport. After the law was changed, these bus lines were allowed, even if railway lines for the routes covered already existed. Since then, the number of private long-distance bus companies in Germany has multiplied. However, ** percent of respondents would not consider travelling with a long-distance bus.
