The Danish Broadcasting Corporation, founded in 1925, is a public service organization financed through taxes. It provides a wide range of different programs via television, radio, and online services. Until the end of 2021, the company was funded by media license fees on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. The ensuing revenue was distributed among, inter alia, DR, TV 2, regional TV and radio companies, and the Ministry of Culture.
