* The survey is based on information gleaned from the large Italian Fashion Industry Companies’ financial statements. It covers 163 companies located in Italy, operating in the fashion business and with a turnover of more than 100 million euros in 2017, out of which 146 are manufacturing companies and 17 carry on retail business.
Top15 Moda indicates the 15 major fashion companies with registered office in Italy in terms of turnover.
Each manufacturing company has been attributed a sector, according to its main activity: clothing industry (69 companies), leather goods and footwear (36), jewelry (19), textile (17), eyewear (5).
EBIT stands for Earnings Before Interest and Taxes. The EBIT margin indicates the ratio between EBIT and revenues.
