In 2024, approximately ** barrels of oil were consumed daily in Malaysia. This was an increase from the volume of consumption in the previous year, which was at ** barrels per day. Malaysia's oil consumption saw a significant decrease in 2020 and 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
