The sample was derived from the the German-speaking population older than 14 years in Germany. Holiday travelers were defined as persons who were on holidays for at least five days over the course of the previous year (holiday travelers to Greece are defined accordingly).
Information about the total sample size:

2020: 23,138 respondents, projected to 70.63 million persons
Information about the target group "holiday travelers to Greece": 845 respondents, projection to 2.66 million persons
Information about the target group "holiday travelers total": 14,644 respondents, projection to 46.40 million persons

Citation formats

The statistic presents the share of holiday booking methods (e.g. travel agencies or the internet) among holiday travelers to Greece and in total in Germany in 2021. Travel agencies were more dominant among travelers to Greece than in the total group of travelers. In contrast, travelers who organized their journey independently were less represented in the group of travelers to Greece.
