Supplementary notes
No new civil partnerships can be contracted in Denmark from 15th of June 2012 when same-sex marriage law was enacted. In 2012, there were no same-sex marriage dissolutions recorded.
In some of the divorces the sex and age of one of the involved persons is not stated because the person was not in the Danish population register. In these cases the divorces will be defined as divorces of different sex couples. This means that divorces of same sex couples could be underestimated and divorces of different sex couples could be overestimated.
