Between 2010 and 2021, Italy has been by far the leading producer of hot rolled bars in Europe, with the peak production recorded in 2011, at nearly *** million metric tons. In the following years, the production in Italy fluctuated, reaching a total of approximately *** million metric tons in 2022. That year, Spain was the second largest producer in the EU, with about **** million metric tons of hot rolled bar production.
