The most common country of origin of children adopted in Sweden was Swedish. Around 3,200 of the children adopted in 2022 were from Sweden. Chinese children were the second largest group with just below 3,200, followed by South Koreans. The number of children adopted in Sweden has decreased steadily over the past 10 years.
