From a small store to the global market

The company’s history began when Mr. Philip Morris opened a shop which sold tobacco and ready-made cigarettes on Bond Street in London in 1847. During the 1950s, the company had been integrated into American culture and shortly after introduced Philip Morris International to manufacture and market its products globally. The European Union accounted for roughly a quarter of the company’s total net revenue.

The company has been manufacturingÌý´Ç±¹±ð°ù *** billion cigarettes. The European Union was PMI’s leading consumer market in the latest business year, followed by South and Southeast Asia as well as the Middle East and Africa.
