² The survey, carried out weekly, asks respondents about overnight trips taken in Great Britain during the previous four weeks. While the annual target sample is 60,000, the number of respondents from April to December 2021 was 47,008. However, the sample size used for trip estimation was lower than the number of interviews, as not every respondent had made an eligible overnight trip.
Figures from before 2024 were taken from previous reports.
The number of nights spent by international visitors in London totaled * million in 2024. While this denoted an increase from the previous year, it remained below the level recorded in 2019, before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
