This statistic presents the difficulties faced by small and medium enterprises (SME) in obtaining financing from the first source they had approached, according to SMEs employers in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014, broken down by the company size. The question was posed only to those businesses that had applied for external financing in the 12 months preceding the survey. The majority of SMEs had no difficulty in obtaining the money from the first source they approached. With ** percent, the share of companies that had not experienced any difficulty was the highest for medium-sized enterprises.
