Metro Inc. is a Canadian retailer specializing in food and pharmaceutical distribution. Through the merger of several independent grocery stores, Metro was founded in 1947 under the original name Magasins Lasalle Stores Ltee. By 1986, Metro had expanded into the pharmaceutical market.
