This survey displays the share of U.S. adults and their opinion on the allocation of government spending dedicated to biomedical and health research as of 2015. During this time, 41 percent of adults claimed that 1.5 percent of government spending is not enough for medical and health research. New legislation has been announced that would help improve the state of health care and medical research, especially as citizens believe that research is important for development of the economy.
