A global survey held between late 2018 and early 2019 revealed that ** percent of responding Millennials felt that the mass media has a negative impact on the world. Additionally, whilst ** percent said that they had some trust in the media when it comes to accessing reliable and accurate information, ** percent said that they did not trust the media for this purpose at all. Media trust has become a hot topic in recent years, with the advent of both actual and suspected fake news fueling paranoia, distrust, and disillusionment with traditional and digital media sources alike.
