UK agriculture

Agriculture is a large part of the economy in the United Kingdom. In 2022, the projected gross value added of agriculture was about 13.9 billion British pounds, an increase from previous years. The total agricultural land area in the United Kingdom was about 18.3 million hectares in 2023 and has remained fairly constant since 2003.

Crop production in the UK

The value of fresh vegetable production in the UK has been increasing since 2014 and was valued at about 1.86 billion Great British pounds in 2023. The value of potato production has fluctuated in recent years, but had a value of 1.46 billion Great British pounds in 2024 with about 5.1 million tons of potatoes harvested.
