and its subsidiaries. The ratio expresses the Group’s CET1 capital as a percentage of its risk weighted assets (RWAs). RWAs are a measure of the Group’s assets adjusted for their associated risks."
After years of increasing trend, the Common Equity Tier 1 ratio (CET1) for the Barclays PLC group decreased quite significantly in 2024. Between 2014 and 2021, the CET1 ratio of the banking group increased from **** percent to **** percent but this upward trend got interrupted in 2022, when the ratio fell to **** percent. In 2024, the ratio stood at **** percent.
