This statistic illustrates the findings of a survey on the leading reasons for receiving checks in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2015 to 2019. It can be seen that in 2015, 34 percent of responding consumers reported that they had been given a check as a gift. A further 39 percent had received a refund in the form of the check in that year. As of 2019, the share of respondents stating that they had received a check as a gift reached a value of 35 percent.
