General consumer awareness of cloud gaming increased significantly between 2020 and 2022. As of November 2022, 44 percent of survey respondents from the United Kingdom stated that they were aware of cloud gaming subscription services which let them play recent games on their devices without having to upgrade their hardware. In contrast, only 12 percent of UK respondents in April 2020 were aware of such services back then.
